Let’s visit today a minor (but not less interesting) archeological site that is a gem of this area. Oplonti, or better known as the site of Emperor Nero’s wife : Poppea. This area, just like all the towns around it, was buried in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 d.C. and it’s one of the best preserved foundings from roman times.
